CONTACT Helpline Mental Health Engagement Summer Associate The Summer Associate will assist the CONTACT Helpline Staff with the planning of yearly programs by assisting in various tasks involved in the implementation of any particular event/program, as assigned by the Executive Director. VISTA member will evaluate the current volunteer program and coordinate with the CONTACT Helpline Director to execute necessary revisions to recruit, train, and retain additional volunteers. A CONTACT Helpline Mental Health Engagement Summer Associate helps alleviate poverty by stabilizing individuals in crisis, connecting them to essential resources like housing, food, and employment services, and building emotional resilience. By addressing mental health barriers and improving access to support systems, the program empowers individuals to regain stability and pursue economic self-sufficiency. Member Duties : Strengthen community mental health support systems by expanding volunteer capacity, increasing awareness of the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, and improving program operations for CONTACT Helpline.
