We are thrilled to offer college students the chance to embark on an immersive, 12-week journey into the dynamic health insurance industry. This program is designed to provide hands-on experience, valuable industry insights, community engagement, and meaningful professional growth opportunities. Program Duration: May 18 August 7, 2026 (12-week program) Program Highlights: Hands-On Departmental Experience: Dive into department-specific tasks, gaining practical experience and exposure to the inner workings of the health insurance industry. Work alongside experienced professionals and contribute to impactful, real-world projects. Weekly Industry Leader Sessions: Participate in weekly discussions with industry experts on topics such as emerging trends, market insights, and career advice. Build connections and expand your professional network. Capstone Project Presentation: Develop and present a comprehensive end-of-summer project to SIHO's executive leadership team. Demonstrate your understanding, creativity, and problem-solving abilities. Community Engagement: Embrace SIHO's commitment to social responsibility through organized volunteer initiatives. Previous Internship Opportunities: We are finalizing the specific roles, but previous positions have included: Provider Services Marketing Provider Contracting Corporate Operations Medical Management Member Services IT Helpdesk Medicare Compliance MTA Sales and Communication Medicare Strategy Vendor Management About Marketing: Marketing supports SIHO's brand, communications, and member engagement efforts across all audiences, including current members, prospective members, providers, brokers, and community partners. The team develops and manages digital content, print materials, campaigns, social media, and internal communications that help explain SIHO's products, highlight value, and strengthen relationships. Marketing works closely with multiple departments to ensure that messaging is accurate, consistent, and aligned with organizational goals. Their work plays a key role in increasing awareness, supporting member understanding, and promoting SIHO's presence in the community. In this role, you will: Assist with creating, organizing, or updating marketing materials such as flyers, member communications, digital content, and social posts Support research activities related to audience needs, competitor messaging, and industry trends Help maintain content libraries, communication calendars, and marketing project documentation Partner with internal departments to ensure materials reflect accurate product information and member focused messaging Contribute to brainstorming sessions, content drafts, and creative development for campaigns Gain hands on experience in healthcare marketing, communications, and audience engagement strategies Qualifications: College students completing their junior or senior year in majors such as Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Finance, Marketing, or related fields.
