The final title will depend on the qualification of the final candidates. The University of Missouri's School of Medicine, Department of Pulmonary - Critical Care, is expanding our services. We currently are recruiting for a full-time Physician Assistant to join our growing critical care inpatient services. Position Responsibilities: • Work independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals to provide care to Critical care patients in a Medical Intensive Care Unit setting • Educate and set treatment plans ensuring adherence to therapies • Act as a resource for patients and families and participate in their education and understanding of the healthcare services provided • Communicate with physicians about changes in patients' clinical conditions, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology • Performs diagnostic procedures and follow-up studies as needed. • Demonstrate a high level of autonomy and expert skills in the diagnosis and treatment of health problems Benefits: • CME Days/ Funding Available • Performance Incentive Structure • Potential Night Differential Pay Structure • Outstanding University benefits including an 8% retirement match and family tuition benefits
