This opportunity is ideal for clinicians who enjoy variety, autonomy, and making a meaningful impact in a fast-paced, well-supported urgent care environment.Our providers enjoy true work-life balance with no after-hours charting, flexible scheduling, and monthly schedules released in advance. Full-time clinicians are typically off more days than they work.You will be supported by experienced clinical teams, strong peer collaboration, clear practice guidelines, and accessible medical leadership that provides real-time support and mentorship. The clinical work is engaging and varied, serving a broad patient population with generally low-acuity presentations. Key Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all agesManage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visitsOrder and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imagingPerform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound managementCommunicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions clearlyDocument patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHRCode and bill services appropriatelyMaintain productivity aligned with urgent care benchmarksPractice in accordance with NextCare clinical standards and values Required Qualifications Active, unrestricted Missouri NP or PA licenseBoard certification or eligibilityPA: NCCPA certificationNP: ANCC or AANP certification (FNP required)Active DEA license (or ability to obtain)Ability to treat patients of all agesActive BLS certificationEHR proficiencyWillingness to work occasional weekends and holidaysDOT certification required or willingness to obtain (fees covered) Preferred Qualifications Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experienceStrong procedural skills (suturing, splinting, wound care)Experience with initial X-ray interpretation prior to radiology over-read About NextCare NextCare is one of the nation s largest urgent care providers, operating 160+ clinics across 11 states.
