The Custodian will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining church facilities to ensure a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment. Routine duties include cleaning floors, restrooms, and windows, maintaining the sanctuary and common areas, performing minor repairs, and handling waste management. The role also involves setting up and breaking down spaces for events, ensuring supplies are stocked, and collaborating with the facilities team to address maintenance needs.QualificationsCleaning and maintenance skills, including performing tasks like sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and maintaining restrooms.Basic handyman skills for minor repairs, such as handling small fixes for plumbing, lighting, or other facilities-related issues.Time management and organizational skills to efficiently complete tasks and maintain schedules.Physical ability to handle manual labor tasks, including lifting(50-70lbs), carrying, bending, and standing for extended periods.Attention to detail to ensure that spaces are clean, safe, and well-maintained at all times.Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and staff regarding maintenance needs and event preparations.Experience in custodial or maintenance roles is preferred; willingness to learn and adapt is essential.
