Job Description:
The Lead is responsible for production during their assigned shift. They are responsible for ensuring that the Associates and equipment are productive during their shift while following all procedures and maintaining the production schedule. Additionally, the Lead will be required to mentor employees and solve problems that may arise during the shift. Wage range starting at $25 per hour, based on experience. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned. Promote a safe, positive and productive work environment. Verify that all Associates are wearing their PPE and following all safety rules. Report all injuries or property damage to a Manager promptly. Gather as much information as possible when reporting an incident. Schedule daily tasks for the Associates. Monitor Associate production throughout the shift and make adjustments as needed. Provide feedback to Manager on Associate issues or deviations from daily tasks. Complete a post shift summary to inform Manager of production status and issues. Execute the production schedule. Review the production schedule with the Manager daily. Prioritize day based on Shop needs and Manager feedback. Monitor production throughout the shift If one area is behind, shift Associates to maximize production. Verify products as they come off the line and are placed in staging racks. Ensures ALL pieces are accounted for in each kit. Verify product quality in all areas. Ensure all production areas have the necessary supplies. Restock supplies as needed. Ensure parts meet quality standards. If a part does not meet standards or is damaged, determine the cause of the deviation, red tag the part and place it in the defective parts bin for quality review. Ensure daily audits, reports and audits are completed. Complete Daily Production Report and turn into Managers Verify Associates are completing Daily Pre Use Checklists for all equipment. Resolve Employee issues/questions. Direct employee questions to correct source for resolution. Communicate with Manager daily through verbal and written communication. Inform Manager of any production, people or supply issues as well as noting an positive wins. Work with Guides to ensure new hires and crosstraining employees are trained on the processes and requirements of the specific area. Responsible for training on New Equipment, New Procedures, and New Safety Standards. Participate and help drive continuous improvement projects and culture throughout the plant. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Prior expierence as lead or supervisor. Proficient user in MS Office suite. Regular use of e-mail, excel, and Word. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Proficient at following procedures and understanding the Bill of Materials (BOM). Willingness to learn all production areas. Good organizational and documentation skills, good at problem solving and displaying a good mechanical aptitude. Ability to communicate well with coworkers, support personnel and management. Self-starter, demonstrating a professional work ethic, setting a good example. Ability to lift 80+ lbs. Able to handle multiple tasks at one time.
