We are looking for Controller to join our team. It's a busy office, and the pace is fast. Position SummaryThe Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting operations of the organization. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial information, maintains strong internal controls, supports strategic decision-making, and leads the accounting team in delivering timely and reliable financial reporting. The Controller works closely with leadership and department heads to support organizational goals and financial sustainability.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management & Reporting Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and month-end/year-end close. Prepare and analyze timely financial statements and management reports. Ensure compliance with GAAP and organizational financial policies. Monitor financial performance and provide insights, forecasts, and variance analyses. Budgeting & Forecasting Lead the annual budgeting process and collaborate with department leaders to develop accurate budgets. Maintain rolling forecasts and provide strategic recommendations based on financial trends and performance metrics. Track budget-to-actual results and advise leadership on financial risks and opportunities. Internal Controls & Compliance Maintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy of financial data. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as industry-specific requirements. Team Leadership & Cross-Department Collaboration Supervise and mentor accounting staff, promoting accuracy, accountability, and professional development. Work as a liaison with other departments to ensure timely financial support and data accuracy. Implement best practices, streamline workflows, and leverage technology to enhance department efficiency. QualificationsRequired Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards. Proficiency with accounting and ERP systems. Preferred Experience in a dealership environment, specifically a marine dealership, preferred. Advanced skills in financial modeling and data analysis. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Working Conditions Full-time position; standard office hours with occasional extended hours during key reporting periods.
