Work Hours4x10 work week M-ThPrimary ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot equipment electrical controls systemsUnderstand PLC programming, wiring schematics, HMI programming, and input/output diagramsProvide training to Maintenance MechanicsPlace requisitions for needed spare parts and toolsWork with engineers to define and document requirements for electrical systems, new control systems and system upgrades.Construct test beds and trainers to test equipment and train Maintenance MechanicsProvide guidance, and assistance to peers and technicians.performed other duties as assigned.QualificationsMinimum 2-year degree in relevant Engineering field or 5+ years working as a controls technicianBachelor's degree in an engineering discipline highly desired. Associates degree in electrical engineering, electrical engineering technology, industrial automation,Experience troubleshooting electrical controls systems and working on teams to support internal customersDemonstrated ability to troubleshoot AC/DC electrical equipment and infrastructure problemsKnowledge of the National Electrical Code, NFPA 70Ability to understand and troubleshoot Ladder Logic programming using RSLogix 500, and Studio 5000Experience with Industrial networksKnowledge of vision inspection systems and experience with various servo drive/controllers
