Job Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Used Car Reconditioning Technician to join our dynamic automotive team. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and preparing pre-owned vehicles to ensure they meet our high-quality standards before being offered for sale. This role is critical in ensuring customer satisfaction and enhancing the overall value of our used car inventory. Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough inspections of pre-owned vehicles to identify necessary repairs or maintenance tasks. - Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance work on a variety of vehicle makes and models. - Collaborate with the service team to diagnose vehicle issues and determine the most efficient solutions. - Ensure vehicles meet company standards through quality control inspections and test drives. - Maintain detailed records of reconditioning activities - Coordinate with other departments, such as sales and inventory management, to facilitate the timely reconditioning of vehicles. - Continuously improve technical skills by staying informed about the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques. Qualifications:- Proven experience as an automotive technician or in a related reconditioning role. - Strong understanding of automotive systems and repair techniques. - Proficient with diagnostic tools and equipment used in vehicle repair and maintenance. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. - Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. - ASE certification or equivalent is a plus.
