This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, driving equipment reliability, preventive and predictive maintenance, and operational excellence across the facility.Job Duties:Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and coach maintenance personnel, ensuring adherence to safe work practices, standard operating procedures, and high-performance standards. Foster a positive, collaborative work environment.Maintenance Planning & Execution: Manage day-to-day maintenance operations, coordinating with Production to schedule and prioritize work. Develop and implement maintenance strategies, including preventive, predictive, and TPM programs, to enhance equipment reliability and performance.Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track and report key maintenance metrics, such as equipment uptime, contractor performance, and overall equipment effectiveness. Identify trends and implement solutions for continuous improvement.Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all maintenance activities meet USDA and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate records of completed work, inventory, and system updates.Operational Continuity: Step in during key personnel absences to maintain workflow, resolve urgent issues, and ensure business continuity.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, plus 2+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Proven leadership experience, including training, mentoring, and leading teams or projects.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for complex equipment and process issues.Hands-on experience with refrigeration systems, particularly ammonia refrigeration, is required.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends as needed.
