*Overview*We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood development and possess strong leadership skills to guide classroom activities and curriculum implementation. The Lead Teacher will be responsible for creating a nurturing environment that promotes growth, learning, and development for children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or developmental delays. This position is integral to fostering a positive educational atmosphere that supports both children and staff.*Responsibilities** Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and behavioral health strategies.* Manage classroom environments effectively through strong classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.* Adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of children with autism, developmental disabilities, or those requiring early intervention services.* Collaborate with speech therapists, behavioral therapists, and other specialists to support students' IEP goals and learning plans.* Utilize learning technology and innovative teaching tools to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.* Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor progress and inform instruction.* Support children’s social-emotional development through positive reinforcement and child welfare practices.* Maintain detailed documentation of student progress, behavior reports, and communication with parents or guardians regarding child welfare and development.* Supervise assistant teachers or classroom aides, providing mentorship and guidance in instructional strategies and classroom management.* Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including those related to working with children with disabilities or special needs.*Skills** Strong classroom management skills with experience in behavior management techniques.* Expertise in curriculum development across early childhood education, preschool settings, Montessori methods, or private school environments.* Experience working with children with autism, developmental disabilities, or in early intervention programs.* Knowledge of speech therapy techniques, literacy education, math instruction, and physical education tailored for young learners.* Familiarity with IEP development and implementation processes.* Ability to utilize learning technology effectively within an educational setting.* Excellent communication skills for collaborating with parents, staff, specialists, and community partners.* Experience in teaching children from diverse backgrounds including toddlers, preschoolers, or students requiring special education services.* Background in behavioral health practices and behavioral therapy approaches suitable for young children.* Childcare experience including daycare or early childhood programs such as Head Start or private preschools.
