A per diem pharmacist opportunity is available to provide medication dispensing and patient counseling services within a well-established pharmacy setting. This role operates under the direct supervision of the manager and is responsible for ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient delivery of medications to customers. Schedule and Location: Location: Clermont, FL (coverage primarily in Orlando, FL) Shifts: 1st shift Hours: Monday through Thursday: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM Friday: 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM Term of assignment: March 13, March 16 - March 20 Employment type: Per diem Key Responsibilities: Accurately dispense medications in compliance with pharmacy standards. Counsel patients regarding their medication regimens, ensuring understanding and adherence. Address and resolve patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and in alignment with organizational policies. Maintain inventory levels, manage controlled substance records, and conduct regular stock assessments. Clarify third-party insurance coverage issues and resolve related patient concerns. Utilize the Pioneer software system to process prescriptions and maintain records. Qualifications: Active and clear pharmacist license in the State of Florida. Minimum of 1 year of experience in retail pharmacy settings. Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach. Ability to work independently and collaborate with healthcare professionals.
