SENIOR ACCOUNTING MANAGER - US BRANCHReports to: Group CFOOur client is an established Italian manufacturer specializing in automated packaging and end-of-line systems, providing integrated automation solutions for production lines across multiple industries worldwide.The Role:This position is responsible for managing all accounting and financial operations of the U.S. subsidiary. The Senior Accounting Manager oversees general ledger activities, accounts payable and receivable, tax compliance, and financial reporting. The role requires autonomy, accuracy, and the ability to coordinate with both internal and external stakeholders, including headquarters and local service providers.Main Responsibilities:Full-Cycle Accounting & General Ledger• Manage the entire accounting function (AP, AR, GL).• Record journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.• Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records.• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings.Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable• Process vendor bills, verify documentation, and prepare payments.• Issue customer invoices and manage collections.• Maintain AP/AR aging reports and ensure timely payments/receipts.• Reconcile statements with vendors and customers as needed.Banking & Reconciliations• Perform bank reconciliations monthly.• Manage cash flow reporting and banking relationships.• Monitor transactions and ensure proper account coding.Payroll Support & Compliance• Coordinate payroll with external payroll provider (e.g., ADP/Paychex).• Verify payroll accuracy, employee hours, and deductions.• Manage state/federal compliance and documentation.Reporting to Headquarters (Italy)• Prepare monthly KPIs, P&L, cash flow updates, AR/AP aging, and custom reports.• Translate U.S. accounting output into formats/logic aligned with the Italian HQ.• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.Coordination with CPA / External Advisors• Prepare documentation for the annual tax return and audits.• Work directly with the CPA on compliance, adjustments, and year-end entries.• Provide documentation for sales tax filings, payroll taxes, and other regulatory requirements.Process Oversight & Internal Support• Collaborate with sales and operations teams to ensure proper order flow, invoicing, and cost tracking.• Review purchase orders, job costing, freight/transport documentation, and inventory transactions.• Improve internal procedures and maintain clear, organized financial records.Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)• CPA certification or Master's degree in Accounting (preferred)Professional Experience• 7+ years of bookkeeping or full-charge accounting experience in the U.S.• Strong background in small business accounting (manufacturing preferred).• Proven ability to independently manage full-cycle accounting.Technical Skills• Proficiency with QuickBooks (Desktop or Online) or similar ERP.• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups).• Solid knowledge of US GAAP for small businesses.• Ability to produce accurate month-end and year-end closings independently.Soft Skills• High level of autonomy, organization, and reliability.• Hands-on, pragmatic, detail oriented.• Strong communication skills and ability to interface with non-finance colleagues.• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a small-business environment.Language• Italian fluency preferred (due to daily communication with HQ).• Professional proficiency in English (spoken and written).What's offered:Salary DOEHealth insurance + Dental + Vision: covered 75% by the companyPTO:401k:
