The ideal candidate will have experience with low-voltage electrical systems, possess strong problem-solving skills, and be committed to delivering high-quality service. Key Roles / Responsibilities: Install, program, test, and maintain security systems such as surveillance cameras, burglar alarms, and access control devices. Run and terminate low-voltage cabling (CAT5/6, coaxial, fiber, etc.). Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to complete installations. Diagnose and repair system malfunctions or defects using appropriate testing equipment. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards. Provide training and support to clients on system operation and functionality. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and customer interactions. Collaborate with project managers, electricians, and other trades as needed. Participate in on-call rotation for emergency service calls. Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications:High school diploma or GED; technical certification or associate degree in electronics or a related field is a plus. Proven experience in security system installation or a related field (minimum 1-2 years preferred). Familiarity with major security system brands (e.g., Hikvision, Honeywell, Bosch, DSC, etc.). Understanding of networking principles (IP addressing, routing, etc.) is a plus. Ability to use power tools and testing equipment safely and effectively. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environments (e.g., crawlspaces, attics, outdoors). Working Conditions: Bending, lifting, climbing, pushing, pulling, kneeling, sitting stand, walk, kneel, stoop, squat, pull, push, climb, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and see and standing (occasionally) for long periods of time. The essential duties of this position require moderate to heavy lifting and carrying. Must be able to position oneself to work in confined spaces such as trenches, pits, manholes, attics, and tunnels and demonstrate manual dexterity and be able to use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Exposure to moderate noise levels, vibrations, and bright lights; and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases; and all climate types including hot and cold temperatures, humidity, rain, snow, etc. Able to wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection and hard hats when needed. React quickly using hands, fingers, or feet. Must be able to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions. Must be able to complete tasks even with frequent interruptions. Must be able to use discretion and independent judgment as needed.
