Director of Pharmacy - Circleville, OH

This opportunity seeks a seasoned pharmacy professional to serve as Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacist-in-Charge at a community hospital in Logan, Ohio. This contract position requires strong inpatient pharmacy experience and expertise in IV admixture and 340B program management. You will lead pharmacy operations, ensuring quality patient care and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily pharmacy operations including staffing, scheduling, and narcotics management Serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge with responsibility for sterile compounding and regulatory adherence Manage pharmacy services in specialty areas such as Emergency Department, Infusion, and Orthopedics Collaborate with clinical and support staff to maintain effective workflow and patient safety Participate in meetings related to pharmacy service development and compliance Provide on-call coverage during pharmacy closed hours and weekend rotations Qualifications: Valid Ohio Pharmacist license required Proven experience working in inpatient hospital pharmacy settings Knowledge of IV admixture preparation and 340B program administration Familiarity with EPIC order entry system and Pyxis automation is preferred (training provided) Leadership skills and ability to manage a small pharmacy team effectively Schedule: Pharmacy Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30am to 6:00pm; Saturday 8:00am to 4:30pm Coverage: Four 10-hour shifts per week with on-call duties; weekend rotation every 4th weekend starting March 28th Additional Details: Small team includes one full-time pharmacist and two PRN staff Recent DNV accreditation with no outstanding issues Training includes onboarding modules and onsite education Dress code: Gray scrubs Housing may be arranged through local cabin owners upon request Nearest Airport: CMH This contract assignment begins March 16, 2026, continuing until a permanent Director is appointed.
