Fleet Mechanic

Interstate Towing is seeking an experienced and dependable Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair our growing fleet of light-duty, medium-duty, and heavy-duty towing and recovery vehicles. This is a full-time position for someone who takes pride in keeping equipment safe, reliable, and road-ready.Responsibilities:Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on tow trucks, tractors, trailers, and support vehiclesDiagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and air system issuesService diesel and gasoline enginesPerform brake, suspension, steering, and drivetrain repairsConduct DOT inspections and ensure fleet complianceRespond to breakdowns and perform emergency repairs when neededMaintain accurate service and repair recordsKeep shop and work areas clean and safeRequirements:2+ years of experience as a fleet, diesel, or heavy-duty mechanic preferredExperience working on heavy-duty trucks or towing equipment a plusStrong troubleshooting and diagnostic skillsKnowledge of DOT regulations and inspectionsAbility to work independently and manage workloadValid driver's license required (CDL a plus)Schedule:Full-timeDay shift (with occasional on-call or overtime as needed)Pay & Benefits:Competitive hourly pay based on experienceOvertime availableHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPay: Up to $140,000.00 per yearBenefits:Dental insuranceFlexible scheduleHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceWork Location: In person
