Pay Rate Low: 19 | Pay Rate High: 20Job Title: QA Technician Location: Chicago, IL Pay: $19-$20/hour Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (37.5 hours/week) Employment Type: 3 month Contract-to-Hire Industry: Pharmaceutical / Regulated Manufacturing Position Overview Our client, a pharmaceutical manufacturing company in the Chicago area, is seeking a detail-oriented QA Technician to support quality and compliance activities within a regulated production environment. This position will primarily focus on reviewing batch records, maintaining quality documentation, auditing inventory, and supporting production quality checks to ensure compliance with cGMP regulations and internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in building experience in quality systems, documentation control, and regulated manufacturing, with potential for long-term employment following the initial contract period. Key Responsibilities Review batch records and production documentation to ensure completeness and compliance with cGMP and internal SOPs Maintain and organize quality documentation, logbooks, and laboratory records Assist with inventory audits and material tracking to ensure accurate documentation and compliance Support in-line quality checks within production and packaging operations Record and maintain data for purified water systems, stability chart recorders, and temperature monitoring systems Assist with receiving, sampling, and documentation review for incoming raw materials, components, and labels according to approved specifications File and maintain daily quality records and production documentation Work closely with Quality Assurance and Production teams to ensure products are manufactured according to quality standards Assist with customer complaint documentation and quality investigations as needed Additional Exposure / Training Opportunities Over time, this role may gain exposure to basic laboratory instrumentation and testing, including: HPLC GC IR UV-Vis pH meter Viscometer Laboratory balance Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related science preferred Previous experience working in a regulated manufacturing or laboratory environment is a plus Familiarity with cGMP regulations and SOP-driven environments preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to review documentation carefully and maintain accurate records Comfortable working in a production-supported quality environment INDBH
