Position Summary Slalom is seeking a Senior Specialist, Talent Intelligence to deliver research and data-driven solutions that enable talent strategy and workforce planning. As part of our Talent and People Experience team, the role will operationalize capture and analysis of internal and market data to mature our talent data ecosystem, anticipate talent needs, drive talent growth and performance, and inform business and talent decisions across Slalom. This is hands-on role that blends analytics, applied behavioral science, and consulting acumen. The ideal candidate will bring strong quantitative expertise, a track record of delivering data solutions, curiosity, a need for learning and intellectual challenge, and a passion for understanding people, systems, and organizations. This role requires stakeholder engagement and partnering across HR and business leadership to implement plans with data-driven intelligence and deliver solutions that scale globally. What You'll Do * Talent Research and Workforce Analytics * Conduct Talent Research: Design and perform qualitative and quantitative research to lead discovery and validation of internal and external talent signals that drive business outcomes and decisions. * Survey research: Operationalize Slalom's employee listening agenda across lifecycle touchpoints (e.g., onboarding, exit, etc.) by implementing high-quality surveys and managing survey development, translation, distribution, automation, data cleaning, and analysis. * Advanced Analytics: Perform descriptive and inferential statistical analyses and create quantitative models to explore, understand, and predict talent outcomes and trends. * Execute Workforce Planning Analysis: Develop valid workforce scenarios, skill gap analyses, attrition and mobility analyses, talent supply and demand forecasts, and other workforce planning analyses to guide organizational design and capability building. * Interpret and Report Workforce Data: Analyze patterns in talent supply, demand, attrition, mobility, experience, and labor market to translate the data into insights delivered to stakeholders. * Talent Data Solutions Delivery * Implement Talent Intelligence Solutions: Deliver and validate solutions to enable holistic capture, understanding, and use of relevant employee and labor market data to derive actionable talent signals and trends. * Business Analysis: Gather, synthesize, and communicate comprehensive requirements to inform talent data solutions, and develop solution plans to appropriately meet these requirements. * Reporting & Visualization: Design, build, and maintain ad-hoc and standard reporting and visualizations on talent and business data. * Collaboration & Data Ecosystem Evolution * Influence Talent Decisions: Translate data into narratives and recommendations that influence decisions among senior leaders. * Drive Talent Data Maturity: Improve data quality, availability, and use by instituting data and research best practices and educating stakeholders on talent data topics, research findings, and solutions. * Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with HR, finance, business operations, and business leaders to drive solutions. * Administer Talent Data Platforms: Operate HRIS, employee experience management, and external talent intelligence platforms (e.g., Workday, Qualtrics, LinkedIn Talent Insights) to meet solution and stakeholder needs. What You'll Bring * Required * 3+ years of experience in talent analytics, business analytics, workforce planning, applied research roles, or a related field. * Strong interest in industrial-organizational psychology, organizational research, and talent analytics, and aiming to grow in this domain. * Strong quantitative and statistical analysis skills, advanced Excel skills, and experience using statistical software to deliver analyses. * Experience developing quantitative or simulation‑based optimization models and forecasts for supply, demand, or resource planning; experience applying this to talent domains (e.g., FTE forecasting, staffing) is a plus * Ability to reason across multiple levels of abstraction (e.g., data, models, and business context), interpret data to find patterns and implications, and make rational recommendations based on data, goals, tradeoffs, and constraints. * Strong intellectual curiosity, systems thinking, critical thinking, learning ability, and motivation to engage with complex, ambiguous subject matter. * Familiarity with business operations and talent management concepts (e.g., workforce planning, utilization, performance metrics, governance, etc.). * Ability to structure and drive work autonomously with limited supervision, while coordinating multi-stakeholder workflows and working with complex, ambiguous, or partially defined problem spaces. * Strong business analysis skill (identifying business needs, gathering requirements, and translating them into appropriate plans and solutions). * Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity, analysis validity, and discretion when working with sensitive data. * Strong written and verbal communications skills; able to communicate insights from complex analyses to senior and non-technical audiences. * Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality data reports, visualizations, and presentations. * Knowledge of data modeling and relational database concepts to effectively interpret and learn organizational data structures for reporting and analysis. * Preferred: * Education in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior, or related fields. * Experience in consulting, professional services, or global matrixed organizations. * Survey operations or research ops experience; exposure to employee experience management systems, survey design, or psychometrics. * Familiarity with external labor market intelligence tools (e.g., Lightcast, Talent Neuron). * Intermediate PowerBI skills are a plus. For this role, we are hiring at the following levels and targeted base pay salary ranges: The targeted base salary pay range for this role is $67,000 to $90,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors.
