Job Title: Level 2 Physician ER Facility/Unit: Emergency Department Shift: 12-Hour Shifts (Days & Nights Mix) Hours: 12 Hours per Shift Schedule: Days (7a-7p, 8a-8p, 10a-10p, 11a-11p, 12p-12a) & Nights (7p-7a) Pay Rate: $150/hr Type: Contract Job Summary We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician (MD/DO) with an active Oklahoma (OK) license for a high-volume Emergency Department. Candidates may be Emergency Medicine (EM) Board Certified/Eligible or Family Medicine (FM) Boarded with strong ED experience. This facility manages approximately 200-230 patients per day combined ED & Urgent Care volume, requiring physicians to see approximately 2.5-3 patients per hour in a fast-paced environment. Facility Overview 33 Total Beds (13 Main ER + 20 ER Overflow) Combined ED/UC Volume: 200+ patients per 24 hours 16-22 patients per physician depending on acuity Double physician coverage Cerner Electronic Health Record (EHR) Typical Emergency Department acuity Responsibilities Evaluate and treat acute and chronic conditions for patients of all ages Manage emergency medical and trauma cases Provide stabilization and critical care interventions Document patient encounters accurately in Cerner EHR Collaborate with hospitalists and specialty teams Participate in night, weekend, and holiday coverage Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards Backup & Support 24-hour Pediatrics & Hospitalist in-house Ortho, STEMI call, ENT call, Podiatry, Nephrology (no inpatient dialysis) OB and Behavioral Health coverage Requirements Active Oklahoma (OK) Medical License Board Certified (preferred) or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine Family Medicine Boarded physicians with ED experience considered Minimum 2 years Emergency Department or Urgent Care experience ACLS, PALS, and BLS Certifications required Comfortable treating all ages Flexible to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
