Job Details Weekly Estimated Pay: $5,437 - $6,041 Assignment Length: 13 weeks Start Date: July 6, 2026 Shifts per Week: 3 Shift Duration: 12-hour days (07:00 - 19:00) Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week; weekend availability preferred Practice Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient Anesthesia - main ORs, outpatient surgery, endoscopy/GI Department: Level 1 trauma center with 33 main ORs, 16 offsite anesthesia locations, 12 outpatient surgery ORs, and 3-4 GI center rooms EMR: Epic Orientation: 16 hours Location: Charlottesville, VA 22908 - Virginia CRNA jobs / locum tenens anesthesia Job Requirements Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) certification required Valid Virginia RN license (state licensure required for practice in Charlottesville, VA) Minimum 2 years of CRNA experience, including at least 1 year in an academic medical center or Level 1 trauma center ACLS & BLS certifications (American Heart Association) COVID & Flu vaccines required (no exemptions) Experience managing ASA 3+ patients preferred References: Contact information for 2 professional references required Locum eligibility: must live at least 50 miles from the facility Responsibilities Deliver safe, high-quality anesthesia care for adolescent through end-of-life patients across perioperative settings Provide anesthesia services in main OR, outpatient surgery center, and endoscopy/GI center settings Perform full CRNA scope of practice (excluding open heart/thoracic, pediatrics, obstetrics, and peripheral nerve blocks per assignment) Collaborate with multidisciplinary anesthesia team, attending physicians, and surgical staff Document anesthesia care accurately and efficiently in Epic EMR Adhere to departmental protocols, patient safety standards, and quality measures Weekend coverage preferred; submit time-off requests upfront Why Charlottesville?
