Security Systems Technician (CCTV & Access Control)

Job DescriptionAramark Facilities Management is seeking a Security Systems Technician to install, maintain, and service CCTV and access control systems across commercial and campus environments. This is a hands-on field role responsible for ensuring surveillance and access systems are fully operational, secure, and compliant. The ideal candidate is a skilled technician who can work independently, troubleshoot issues, and deliver reliable system performance across multiple sites. Compensation Range: $30 - $36/hr Required QualificationsActive Low Voltage / Alarm Systems License (NC DPS)Electrical License (SP-LV or higher) Job ResponsibilitiesInstallation & System SetupInstall and configure CCTV systems (IP and analog cameras, NVRs/DVRs)Install and service access control systems (card readers, controllers, keypads, mag locks, electric strikes)Run and terminate low-voltage cabling (Cat5/6, fiber, coaxial)Troubleshooting & MaintenanceDiagnose and repair hardware and software issues across security systemsPerform routine inspections and preventative maintenanceRespond to service calls and resolve issues in a timely mannerSystem Programming & IntegrationProgram and manage access control systems, user credentials, and permissionsSupport network integration including switches, routers, and PoE systemsPartner with IT teams on connectivity and basic cybersecurity practicesCompliance & DocumentationEnsure systems meet local, state, and federal codes and licensing requirementsMaintain accurate service records, reports, and documentationAt Aramark, developing new skills and doing what it takes to get the job done make a positive impact for our employees and for our customers. In order to meet our commitments, job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice. QualificationsRequired QualificationsActive Low Voltage / Alarm Systems License (NC DPS)Electrical License (SP-LV or higher) or ability to obtain3?5+ years of experience with CCTV and access control systemsExperience with platforms such as Lenel, Genetec, Honeywell, Avigilon, or similarWorking knowledge of IP networking (switches, routers, PoE)Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagramsValid driver?s license and ability to travel between job sites Preferred QualificationsManufacturer certifications (Lenel, Genetec, Avigilon, etc.)Experience in commercial, government, or campus environmentsOSHA or safety certificationsBasic understanding of cybersecurity principles for security systems Work Environment & Physical RequirementsCombination of field service and indoor technical workAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders or at heightsWork in indoor and outdoor conditionsOccasional after-hours or weekend support may be required This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing.
