We are a small, patient-centered medical practice seeking a creative and motivated Social Media & Marketing Student to help grow our local presence and engage our community. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate student looking to gain hands-on experience in healthcare marketing while building a strong professional portfolio. This would be a great fit for someone that is self-driven and self-directed.To apply, please EMAIL your resume, brief cover letter, and links to any relevant social media profiles or portfolio work to darlene@ Position DetailsHours: 10-15 hours per weekDuration: 8 weeksCompensation$18.00-22.00 per hourMileage ReimbursementYes (IRS standard rate)Key Responsibilities:Content Creation & Social MediaDevelop, schedule, and manage engaging content across social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)Create graphics, reels, stories, and posts aligned with the practice's brand voice and patient audienceMonitor social media engagement, respond to comments, and track performance metricsResearch trending healthcare topics and local community events to inform content strategyVideo ProductionCapture, edit, and produce short-form video content for social media and the practice websiteConduct on-site filming at the practice and local community eventsEdit footage using professional video editing tools to deliver polished, publish-ready contentLocal MarketingIdentify and pursue local marketing opportunities including community events, partnerships, and sponsorshipsDistribute promotional materials and represent the practice at local outings as neededSupport grassroots outreach efforts to increase brand awareness within the surrounding communityFront Desk SupportAssist front desk staff as needed with patient check-in, phones, and general administrative tasksMaintain a professional, welcoming demeanor consistent with the practice's patient care standardsQualificationsRequiredCurrently enrolled in a graduate-level program (MBA, Marketing, Communications, Public Health, or related field)Demonstrated experience in social media content creation and managementProficiency in video capture and editing (e.g., CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools)Strong written and verbal communication skillsMust have a valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate)Ability to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesPreferredExperience marketing to local or community-based audiencesFamiliarity with healthcare or medical practice environmentsBasic graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Express, or similar)Knowledge of SEO, Google Business Profile, or local digital advertisingWhat You'll GainReal-world healthcare marketing experience in a clinical settingA robust portfolio of content, video, and campaign workExposure to patient relations and medical office operationsA professional reference upon successful completion of the internshipWork EnvironmentThis is a hybrid, on-site role requiring regular visits to the practice location and surrounding community.
