Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Interventional Radiology Discipline: RN Start Date: 04/02/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - IR Job Details: - Work 4x10-hour shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM on weekdays - On-call every 5th weekend with call rotation requirements - 40 guaranteed hours per week - 1:1 patient ratio with adult and geriatric patient population - Minimum 2 years RN experience required - Interventional Radiology experience required (first-time travelers allowed with IR experience) - Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (must be American Heart Association certified) - West Virginia or compact license required (pending license acceptable) - Perform special procedures including angiogram, fistulogram, permacath, EVAR, TCAR, TAVR, MitraClip, mechanical thrombectomy, and embolization - Work with patients diagnosed with CKD, CAD, PAD, PVD, stenosis, AAA, stroke, and aneurysm - May float to general lab CDL - Royal blue/white scrubs required - Cerner charting system - Complete 40 hours of orientation (first 2 days classroom, remainder on unit) - Complete non-billable modules averaging 2-6 hours prior to start - Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only during flu season October 1st - March 31st) - Must live greater than 100 miles from facility (75-100 miles considered case-by-case) Facility: This healthcare facility is a Level IV Trauma Center and major teaching hospital with 838 staffed beds. The facility is a member of the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems (COTH) and operates as a short-term acute care hospital. The Interventional Radiology department features 4 rooms with 12 beds and maintains a daily census of 8 patients. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, and rapid response teams.
