Position SummaryThe Division of Comprehensive Neurology at the UNC Department of Neurology is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Neurohospitalist to join our dynamic faculty team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide exceptional inpatient neurological care, engage in academic activities, and contribute to the advancement of neurological sciences through research and education. Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive inpatient care to patients with a wide range of neurological conditionsCollaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care Participate in the education and training of medical students, residents, and fellows Oversee Residents and Advanced Practice Providers caring for hospitalized patientsParticipate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental meetingsMinimum Education and Experience Requirements MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school. Board Certification or Eligibility in NeurologyEligible for medical licensure in the state of North Carolina Strong clinical skills and a commitment to patient-centered careExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated interest in academic medicine, including teaching and research. Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Fellowship training in Neurohospitalist Medicine or equivalent experienceExperience in an academic medical centerTrack record of scholarly activity, including publications and presentationsExperience with quality improvement initiatives.
