We seek to close the opportunity gap and increase college and career readiness.DREAAM seeks a Director of Donor Relations. We seek a self-motivated, people-oriented individual who is passionate about positive youth development and excited by resource development and relationship-building to make a difference. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer and works closely with the Development Committee and Board of Directors. This is a part-time hourly position working 10 to 20 hours per week.Major duties and responsibilities:• Coordinate the Development Committee and assist with action steps• Lead and manage development efforts to generate budgeted revenue each year by satisfying benchmarks as identified by the DREAAM Board of Directors. Benchmarks may include, but are not limited to new donors, new revenue generated, and the number of contacts• Develop and execute an annual development plan to be approved by the Development Committee and Board of Directors• Expand DREAAM's donor base and deepen relationships with donors to ensure sustainable commitment• Solicit and seek new funding streams, including businesses, individual donors, religious institutions, and corporate/foundation funding sources. Prepare and submit proposals as appropriate• Manage gift acknowledgement and receipting process, ensuring donors receive timely acknowledgements and communications• Collaborate with social media and marketing independent contractors to develop digital fundraising and public relations strategic content• Participate in community organizations that build DREAAM visibility and donor base• Remain current on fundraising skills through professional development opportunities• Communicate fundraising goals throughout the organization and equip Board members, staff, and volunteers to reach them• Supervise interns and volunteers involved in fundraising activitiesRequired Qualifications:Education:Bachelor's degreeExperience:• 2-3 years of experience in fundraising, sales, alumni relations, or another field that requires energetic engagement with individuals and groupsKnowledge Requirements:• Commitment to social justice• Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.• Demonstrate cultural competence (race, ethnicity, and socio-economic status).• Solid computing skills (Microsoft Office suite, database experience)• Demonstrate high levels of judgment, tact, and discretion.• Strong organizational and project management skills with ability to work independently and meet deadlines• People-oriented and sincerely interested in connecting with othersThis job takes place in-person located in Champaign, Illinois.Salary is commensurate with experience.Application Procedures:To apply, please submit a cover letter, resume, and contact information of three references to hr@.
