Trailer - Tank Cargo Inspector

Description:Trailer-Tank Inspector at Wayne Transports will be responsible for conducting inspections, evaluations and assessment of trailers and tanks to ensure compliance with federal safety regulations and standards. The inspector will utilize their expertise and certifications to identify potential defects, corrosions or the issues that may compromise the integrity and safe operation of the Trailer-Tank.Responsibilities:Performs routine servicing and repairs of tankersDiagnosing and troubleshooting Tank/Trailer repairsCorrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts or systems.Inspect the overall condition of Tankers to ensure that they meet U.S. Department of Transportation's safety requirements.Compile inspection reports detailing their findingsTrack all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements.Ensure the final work product meets quality standardsMaintain a safe and clean work area for customers and co-workersRequirements:3 years of Cargo Tank experience (required)Willingness to jump in and help out where neededAttention to detailsMechanical aptitude with basic electric diagnostic / troubleshooting experience or technical trainingDOT (certification a plus)CDL (preferred)Clean driving recordGood written and verbal communication skillsReliability and a dedication to be a hard workerAbility to work independently maintaining a safe, efficient and friendly work environmentPhysical:Standing, walking and climbing upstairs or ladders.Lifting up to 50 lbs occasionallyProficiency with hand tools and other equipmentCompensation $30,000-35,000 per year
