Electrical Apprentice – Job DescriptionWe are seeking a motivated Electrical Apprentice to join our team and develop into a skilled electrician through hands‑on training and field experience. This role is ideal for individuals who are mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and ready to build a long‑term career in the electrical trade.ResponsibilitiesAssist journeyman and master electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systemsPull wire, run conduit, and install fixtures, outlets, switches, and panelsSupport rough‑in and trim‑out phases on residential, commercial, or industrial projectsRead and interpret basic blueprints, schematics, and job specificationsMaintain a clean and organized work area and ensure tools and materials are properly handledFollow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirementsPerform basic troubleshooting under supervisionLoad, unload, and stage materials for daily tasksWork at heights, in confined spaces, and in various indoor/outdoor environmentsQualificationsStrong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learnAbility to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasksComfortable working on ladders, lifts, and in tight spacesBasic understanding of hand and power toolsReliable transportation to job sitesHigh school diploma or GED Able to pass drug and BGC OSHA 10 or willingness to obtain (preferred)Skills & TraitsPositive attitude and strong work ethicAttention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to follow instructions and work as part of a teamStrong communication and problem‑solving skillsPunctual, dependable, and safety‑focusedJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Cedar Rapids, IA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
