Sr Claims Adjuster - Sports & Entertainment

Description and Requirements General Description: Responsible for handling complex marine, auto, property, and general liability claims. Responsibilities: Inspect losses for adjustment parameters. Review claims, meet with clients, attend depositions, mediations, and trials. Retain and monitor activity of outside adjusters/appraisers and other experts as needed. Communicate with management and underwriting team on larger, more complex claims. Investigate, evaluate, and negotiate resolution of the most complex claims. Work in accordance with company guidelines and best claims practices. Create and produce industry specific claims material for trade shows and insurance organizations. Attend, participate, and present seminars for various trade shows and insurance organizations. Participate in panels, committees, or boards of trade associations relevant to program. Assist in onboarding and training new claims staff. Conduct claims reviews with specific clients. Provide in-person risk management training. May provide supervisory oversight to other adjusters within the program. Includes reserving adequacy, investigation, coverage, litigation strategy, and settlement. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:5+ years of general liability insurance claim experience, specialty claims insurance adjustor experience, or a combination of both. High school diploma or graduate equivalent degree required. College degree preferred. Requires claims adjusting license in all operating states. Extensive knowledge and understanding of working with specialty and general liability claims. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products. Ability to analyze complex problems involving varying viewpoints and to develop viable solutions. Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
