Accounting Assistant

Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is seeking an Accounting Assistant to join a dynamic team in Canton, Ohio. Job Summary The Accounting Assistant provides general clerical support within the Accounting Department. You will help process and review accounting transactions such as invoices, remittances, and customer payments. This role also supports internal and external customer inquiries and helps maintain positive relationships across business teams. Key Responsibilities Prepare, process, and review routine accounting transactions, including invoices (incoming & outgoing), remittance advices, and customer checks. Respond to general data requests and inquiries from internal and external customers. Support positive business relationships between Accounting and other business partners. Assist with miscellaneous accounting and administrative tasks as needed. Requirements Education: High School diploma or GED required. Associate Degree in Business or Accounting preferred. Experience: Minimum 2 years post-high school experience handling accounting transactional data and invoice processing. Skills & Competencies: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word (required; advanced Excel preferred). Familiarity with accounting systems such as PeopleSoft, Brainware/OnBase, and ServiceNow preferred. Strong time management, organizational, and multitasking abilities. Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing circumstances. Physical Demands: Sedentary work primarily, but in Remittance Processing areas, employees may need to stand for up to 50% of the time. While standing, employees may be required to lift up to 25 lbs.
