Seasonal Pool Safety Specialist

As a Pool Safety Specialist, your role will be crucial in ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests. This position involves active surveillance, fostering a welcoming atmosphere, and being a crucial part of our emergency response team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Monitor pool areas for safety, ensuring a secure environment for all patrons. Implement and enforce pool rules while maintaining a clean and inviting swimming space. Respond to emergencies with agility and skill, performing water rescues and providing first aid as needed. Maintain current certifications and participate in ongoing training sessions. Conduct inspections of pool facilities and equipment; promptly report any safety concerns. Document incidents, rescues, inspections, and water quality tests accurately. Assist in keeping pool and deck areas clean and organized. Deliver exceptional customer service, welcoming all patrons and addressing their needs. Guide swimmers during inclement weather or other unsafe conditions. Adhere to all company policies and procedures while maintaining professional attire. Perform other duties as assigned to support daily operations. REQUIREMENTS Minimum age requirement of 15-16 years depending on local laws. Must hold current Lifeguard certification (American Red Cross or equivalent), CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer, and First Aid. Able to remain vigilant and continuously monitor the pool surroundings. Physically fit to perform rescues, assist individuals up to 85+ lbs, and execute a variety of physical tasks. Responsive and composed in emergency situations, capable of quick decision-making. Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective guest interaction. Previous experience in customer service or at a pool facility is a plus but not necessary. WORK SCHEDULE Flexible hours are essential, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and possible overtime. Availability for weekends and holidays during the busy summer season is a must. Work during key summer holidays and their surrounding weekends are required.
