An exciting opportunity exists for a Registered Nurse with Telemetry experience to provide exceptional care in a specialized acute care setting for elderly patients. This contract role is based in Canandaigua, NY, offering consistent night shifts in a supportive environment focused on delivering quality patient outcomes. Located on the West 4 Acute Care of Elderly (ACE) and Alternate Level of Care (ALC) unit, this 36-bed unit caters specifically to the complex needs of older adults requiring telemetry monitoring and acute care. The role is perfect for RNs skilled in managing cardiac and medical-surgical telemetry patients who thrive in fast-paced, patient-centered settings. Schedule and Hours: Night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM 36 to 48 hours per week available One weekend shift per week or two weekend shifts every other weekend At least one holiday shift per contract Key Responsibilities: Deliver expert nursing care to telemetry and medical-surgical patients, focusing on elderly populations Accurately document all patient care activities using EPIC charting system Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes Maintain compliance with facility protocols and patient safety standards Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling to meet unit needs, including possible block booking Qualifications and Experience: Current active New York State RN license AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Minimum 1 year recent experience in medical-surgical telemetry nursing (2 years preferred) For international candidates, at least 2 years of U.S. nursing experience is required Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records Location Overview: Canandaigua, NY, offers a scenic and welcoming environment nestled in the heart of the Finger Lakes region.
