Ref #: C-LPN-We're seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join a Camden, ME team on a 13-week contract starting ASAP. This is a local, non-travel position with a schedule that includes evenings and overnights (06:45 PM-07:15 AM). Compensation is $1,138 for 36 hours.What you'll needActive, valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state licenseBLS (Basic Life Support) certificationWhat you'll be doingYou'll provide hands-on nursing care under the direction of RNs and physicians. That includes administering medications and IV fluids, performing wound care, monitoring and documenting vital signs, and completing focused patient assessments. You will educate patients and families about conditions and self-care, assist with mobility and comfort needs, and respond to emergencies following established protocols.Other key duties:Create and update individualized care plans based on assessments and medical historyAdminister medications and treatments accurately and per protocolEvaluate, clean, dress, and monitor wounds for infection or complicationsInsert, maintain, and monitor IV lines and urinary catheters as requiredCollect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab analysisMaintain clear, timely, and accurate patient records of condition changes and interventionsPractice and promote infection control (hand hygiene, PPE use)Safely handle, store, and dispose of medications and medical suppliesSupport preventive care efforts (vaccinations, screenings) and advocate for patient rights and needsCollaborate with the interdisciplinary team-RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff-for coordinated careSupervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when requiredParticipate in ongoing education to stay current with nursing best practicesPerform other duties as assigned by ManagementIf you're a reliable LPN who values clear communication, teamwork, and person-centered care, this role in Camden could be a great fit.
