This opportunity is for an experienced Independent Retail Pharmacist to deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical services within a community-focused setting. Reporting to the Chief Clinical Officer, you will manage all aspects of retail pharmacy operations including procurement, distribution, storage, and administration of medications. Your role is pivotal in providing personalized patient care, fostering community trust, and supporting overall health and well-being. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Duration: 13-week contract Location: Burney, CA Key Responsibilities: Compound and dispense medications accurately and safely. Review and validate prescriptions for correctness and suitability. Oversee pharmacy staff engaged in preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals. Provide drug-related information, including side effects and dosage counseling. Maintain quality assurance, controlled substance security, and hazardous waste procedures. Manage pharmacy documentation, inventory systems, and patient records. Train and supervise interns and pharmacy technicians, ensuring compliance with legal ratios. Resolve insurance rejections and drug interaction issues promptly. Build strong professional relationships with healthcare providers. Participate in continuing education to stay current with pharmaceutical standards. Deliver excellent customer service and effectively handle difficult situations while respecting patient confidentiality. Qualifications: Licensed to practice pharmacy in California. Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. from an accredited institution. Current BLS certification. Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations. Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to collaborate at all organizational levels with professionalism and integrity.
