The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of military law, a passion for justice, and a commitment to providing comprehensive and compassionate legal advocacy.Duties & Responsibilities:In this role, attorneys will handle a wide range of legal issues affecting military personnel, including criminal defense, administrative procedures, and veterans' benefits. You will:Provide legal representation to clients in courts-martial, administrative boards, discharge upgrades and other military tribunals.Advise military personnel on legal rights and obligations related to service.Assist in the preparation and filing of military appeals and petitions for relief.Represent clients in matters concerning veterans' benefits, including appeals in front of the VA (Veterans Administration).Conduct thorough legal research and stay updated with developments in military law and associated civilian legal impacts.Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and staff within the firm to ensure a cohesive approach to client cases.Educate and counsel clients on preventative measures to avoid legal issues related to military service.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.License to practice law in at least one US State Jurisdiction.Prior experience in military law or a strong interest and dedication to practicing in this area with an emphasis on criminal and administrative separation, PEB and MEB experienceMilitary service or familiarity with the military environment is highly advantageous.Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.Strong advocacy and courtroom skills, with a track record of ethical practice.Compensation & Benefits:Performance-based bonuses of up to 60% of base salary100% employer match on 401(k) contributions up to 6% for full-time employees.No-cost health insurance for basic plansFree dental and vision coverageThree weeks of paid time off after 18 months of full-time employment.Equal Opportunity StatementTully Rinckey PLLC is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. xijylhu All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.
