Certified Security Officer

Flex Position Job Summary: Join our dynamic team as a Certified Security Officer, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining safety and security. Your responsibilities will include establishing strong working relationships with customers and local emergency services while actively monitoring and protecting assigned areas. Basic Functions: Manage access points and oversee pedestrian and vehicle traffic. Conduct regular patrols of buildings and surrounding areas. Assist with the escorting of materials and personnel. Perform inspections of security and fire safety measures. Take on special assignments as required. Responsibilities: Your duties will vary depending on department size and specific post assignments. We will provide reasonable accommodations for ADA compliance. Your primary functions will include: Arriving on time and reporting for duty in full uniform. Presenting a professional image by greeting customers, visitors, and staff in a courteous and friendly manner. Remaining updated on any changes to post orders and relevant information disseminated by the client and Andy Frain Services. Patrolling assigned areas or maintaining a fixed position, being vigilant in reporting suspicious activities and investigating any incidents. Monitoring camera feeds and other equipment continuously as outlined in post orders. Understanding and following emergency policies, procedures, and guidelines to effectively respond to alarms and incidents. Completing daily activity reports, log entries, incident reports, and other essential documentation related to your assignment. Offering recommendations for improvements in safety and loss prevention based on observations during your shifts. Gaining familiarity with life safety systems, fire panels, CCTV systems, and other technologies essential for your role, ensuring their safe operation. Adhering to training and compliance standards set forth by Andy Frain Services and regulatory agencies. Maintaining open communication with the Security Supervisor regarding new issues or necessary changes in security protocols. Skills and Abilities: Integrity, alertness, and discipline are essential qualities for securing property and safety. Commitment to ongoing vigilance.
