The requirements for Child Care Substitute are: Minimum of High School Diploma/GED Certificate (Proof of Education required) Clearance based on results of TBI/FBI Criminal Background Check Clearance based on results of Sexual Offender, Department of Children's Services and Vulnerable Abuse Registries Attendance at Substitute Teacher Training Substitutes are paid the following: Substituting for an Aide - 60.00 per day Substituting for a Teacher - 75.00 per day Substituting long term - 120.00 on the 11th day forward (this is regardless of certification)
