This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. Responsibilities include providing consultative and endoscopic services in the inpatient and outpatient setting and teaching fellows in an academic environment. The candidate will be eligible for an academic appointment at the NYU Langone Medical School. The primary duties of the Gastroenterologist-Advanced Endoscopist include, but are not limited to: Performing diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures. Performing advanced ERCP and EUS (rendezvous EUS-ERCP) as well as other advanced therapeutic procedures. This position is for a candidate who has completed a fellowship in therapeutic endoscopy or is proficient in advanced therapeutic procedures. Growing referrals from other VA hospitals for advanced endoscopic procedures. Providing comprehensive care for patients who have illnesses within the scope of General Gastroenterology and Hepatology.Coordinating activities of other health service personnel, resolving problems affecting patient care and providing appropriate education for the patient and/or family members. Providing comprehensive care for patients who have illnesses within the scope of General addition to patient care, the physician may have responsibilities in other areas such as education and research. Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 800am-4:30pm
