Assistant Director of Nursing (Internal Medicine)Compensation: $150k per yearJob Type: Full-time, Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-4:30 PMA major New York City health system is seeking a Assistant Director of Nursingto lead facility-wide nursing operations, education, strategy, and quality initiatives. tis leader will oversee nursing performance, implement standardized best practices, and ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered care across the organization. Specifically focused on the Internal Medicine service line, this role serves as a critical link between executive strategy and clinical execution.Key Responsibilities Lead facility-wide nursing operations and strategy within the service line, ensuring alignment with health system goals. Oversee nursing performance and clinical outcomes, reporting directly to the CEO and Chief Nursing Executive. Implement standardized best practices and evidence-based protocols to ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered care. Drive quality improvement and safety initiatives specifically targeting maternal and neonatal health outcomes. Manage daily departmental operations, including staffing, resource allocation, and budget oversight. Serve as a clinical mentor and educator, fostering professional development and residency programs for nursing staff. Ensure continuous regulatory compliance and survey readiness for all state and federal healthcare agencies. Act as a key liaison between frontline clinical staff and executive leadership to facilitate transparent communication and operational excellence.
