Job Purpose: Nurse Educator is to teach and train current and future nurses, helping them develop the knowledge and clinical skills needed to provide safe, effective patient care.Making sure you fit the guidelines as an applicant for this role is essential, please read the below carefully.They design educational programs, deliver instruction in classrooms or clinical settings, and evaluate learners' progress.Their role also includes keeping nursing staff up to date on best practices, new technologies, and healthcare standards to improve overall patient outcomes.Duties: Develop and design educational programs for nursing students and staff.This includes creating lesson plans, curriculum materials, and clinical training activities that meet regulatory and institutional standards.Teach in classroom and clinical settings to help learners acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills.They provide demonstrations, lectures, and hands-on guidance to reinforce learning.Assess student or staff performance through exams, clinical evaluations, and skills assessments.These evaluations identify areas for improvement and ensure competence in patient care.Update and maintain course content to reflect current best practices, research findings, and healthcare regulations.This ensures that learners receive accurate and relevant information.Mentor and support nursing students or staff in their professional development.They provide guidance, feedback, and encouragement to help learners achieve career goals.Coordinate clinical placements for students or staff training in hospitals and healthcare settings.This involves collaborating with clinical supervisors to ensure meaningful and safe learning experiences.Conduct workshops, seminars, and continuing education programs for professional development.These sessions help practicing nurses stay current with new procedures, technologies, and patient care standards.Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs using feedback, test scores, and clinical performance outcomes.This data is used to refine teaching methods and improve learning outcomes.Promote evidence-based practice by teaching staff to integrate research findings into patient care.They encourage critical thinking and problem-solving to enhance healthcare quality.Collaborate with healthcare leaders and faculty to address staffing needs, training gaps, and curriculum improvements.This ensures alignment between education, organizational goals, and patient care priorities.Skills/Qualifications: The expectation is that the candidate will provide coverage for all of inpatient MCH (L&D, NICU, MBU, Peds).We require strong L&D skills with a minimum of 2 years of experience.Masters in Education strongly preferred.Will support education for labor and delivery, NICU, post partum.2 years of Labor & Delivery & Med/Surge experience is required. xijylhu Associates Degree (ASN, ADN) from an accredited Nursing Program.
