The Role: Ground Operations Supervisor (Overnight) What You'll Do * Direct, coordinate, and manage all aspects of daily inbound operations including food safety, quality control, and process management. * Oversee pallet movement, truck unloading, and resolve issues within scope to meet company standards. * Guide, direct, and motivate associates to achieve productivity goals and ensure successful shift execution. * Manage daily staffing schedules in alignment with budget and business needs using approved staffing models. * Address employee concerns and partner with HRBP on all levels of investigations. * Recruit, interview, train, coach, and develop talent while executing performance standards and department matrices. * Ensure compliance with Food Safety, GMPs, HACCP, Safety protocols, and all FreshDirect policies. * Collaborate with the team and senior management to identify process improvements and document new procedures. * Oversee proper equipment operation, safety guidelines, and PITO usage; report all equipment issues immediately. * Support and participate in company-wide initiatives, programs, and projects as needed. * Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. * Write weekly schedules and manage timecards using Kronos. * Comply with the 80/20 Rule: 80% on the floor, 20% off the floor. What You'll Bring * 2-4 years of leadership experience required. * Willingness and ability to work in refrigerated (20-38°F) and freezer (-10°F) environments. * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand/walk for 10-12 hours, and frequently bend, push, pull, squat, and reach. * Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and maintain a flexible schedule during peak periods. * Associate degree preferred; HS Diploma/GED required (or equivalent experience). * Preferred experience with WMS and SAP (not required). * Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word). * Strong time management and prioritization skills. * Proven leadership abilities with experience coaching and developing teams. * Strong problem-solving skills and resourcefulness. * Ability to assist with recruitment, interviewing, and training of new associates. * Knowledge of manufacturing, production, sanitation, food safety, HACCP, GMP, and OSHA a plus. * English required; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. * Experience working with perishables or short shelf-life products a plus. * Must embody and represent FreshDirect's values and culture.
