The James J. Peters VA Medical Center is seeking a Physician to be an integral part of the Endocrinology Service at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center. Peters VA Medical Center in Bronx, New York is recruiting for a full-time staff Endocrinologist to join our service. Responsibilities include outpatient and inpatient General Endocrine and Diabetes consults, including Thyroid FNA with ultrasound guidance. We are a teaching program and precepting rotating Endocrinology fellows from The Mount Sinai Endocrinology fellowship is an important component of the position. Medical students also rotate with our service on occasion. Teaching responsibilities also include lectures in endocrinology for medical residents at least a few times per year. You would be joining a collegiate team who work together to serve our Veterans, providing them with up to date and comprehensive endocrine/diabetes care. Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week with occasional weekend coverage of inpatient consults. Board certification/eligibility in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism is required. Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
