INTERNATIONAL LEADERSHIP CHARTER MIDDLE SCHOOLBILINGUAL SCHOOL COUNSELOR The Bilingual Social Worker/Counselor will provide services and assistance to improve thesocial and psychological functioning of students and their families to maximize well-beingand academic functioning. The Social Worker/Counselor will assist parents and studentsat the International Leadership Charter Middle School to achieve social and academicgoals.Key Duties:• Interview and counsel at risk youths, develop and maintain service plans; includinglong-term and short-term goals.• Schedule and facilitate individual and group sessions. Facilitate weeklyleadership/conflict resolution workshops with participants. Incorporate leadershipand conflict resolution curricula into individual and group sessions.• Maintain records and prepare reports. Maintain daily attendance, registration andcase referral logs.• Counsel students whose behavior, school progress, or mental or physicalimpairment indicate a need for assistance, diagnosing students' problems andarranging for needed services.• Consult with parents, teachers, and other school personnel to determine causes ofproblems such as truancy and misconduct, and to implement solutions.• Performs other duties as assigned.Job Description: Provide services and assistance to improve the social and psychological functioning of students and their families to maximize well-being and academic functioning.
