Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)

A healthcare organization in the Bronx is seeking a qualified Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support nursing leadership and ensure the highest standards of resident care. Key Responsibilities:Support the Director of Nursing Services (DNS) in overseeing clinical operations and maintaining quality care standardsConduct weekly wound and skin assessmentsPromote compliance with regulatory standards and ensure clear communication across all nursing levelsAddress and manage the medical needs of residentsParticipate in an on-call rotation (24/7 coverage as needed)Assist in planning, coordinating, and directing nursing servicesMaintain strong working knowledge of nursing theory and clinical practicesEnsure timely and accurate completion of medical documentationParticipate in recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of nursing staffOversee daily staffing coordinationMonitor and support infection control protocolsMaintain schedule flexibility to meet operational demandsQualifications:Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York StateMinimum of 3 years' experience in a long-term care settingPrior management experience (preferred)Experience in staff education (preferred)Strong communication and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated leadership and supervisory capabilitiesWillingness to work flexible hours as needed
