Manufacturing Operations Manager

Nesco Resource is in search of a Manufacturing Operations Manager to work one of our clients based in Bristol, CT. Our client is a close-knit, family-owned company looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Operations Manager to help us keep things running smoothly. This role is a mix of planning, problem-solving, and team leadership-perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and takes pride in getting things done right. RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee all facility operations, including manufacturing process, production, quality, scheduling, supply chain and maintenance to ensure efficiency and safety. Direct Report: Production Floor Team Lead who manages up to five people running jobs/setting up machines Will work collaboratively with Materials Manager, Quality Manager and other departments. Determine job profitability. Input on capital procurement. Maintain 5S program. Position reports to the President; shares the maintenance of tooling list, obsolete parts and obsolete materials. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree preferred with at least 10 years of business/plant management experience in a manufacturing environment. Ability to work from job orders, process sheets, blueprints, drawings, standards and specifications. Experience with semi-attended machinery/industrial equipment. Basic computer skills and CAD knowledge. Ability to communicate well with all levels of staff. Strong reading and math skills. Ability to multitask and stay organized.
