Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in a concrete manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, and hydraulics. Additionally, the ability to read and interpret blueprints is essential for success in this role.Responsibilities Maintain a hands-on work ethic in a cross-functional environment. Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install production equipment. Conduct general fabrication using industrial shop equipment. Complete and document preventative and predictive maintenance tasks. Generate and implement continuous improvement ideas for plant maintenance. Work on and troubleshoot electrical motors. Essential Skills Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Industrial Mechanic, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, mechanical drawings, and part specifications. Fundamental understanding of Preventative Maintenance programs. Demonstrated troubleshooting skills. Ability to fabricate steel using a torch, welder, and associated tooling. Possession of a personal set of hand tools. Basic computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in minor welding of parts and equipment. Experience using a cutting torch working on industrial metal. Proficiency in repairing, troubleshooting, installing, and performing preventative maintenance on equipment such as plastic extrusion machines, conveyor systems, and industrial motors. Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic parts. The plant operates 24 hours with 12-hour shifts, primarily from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, switching to night shifts as required. The dress code includes dirty industrial clothing such as jeans, steel toe boots, and a t-shirt or long sleeve shirt.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brewster, NY.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
