Medical Receptionist, Patient Care Coordinator

Job Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Receptionist, Patient Care Coordinator to join our team at Orthopedic & Sports Physical Therapy Inc. to assist in providing exceptional care to our patients. As the first point of contact for our clinic, you will play a vital role in ensuring a positive experience for our patients. This is a part time and/or full-time positionResponsibilities:- Greet patients upon arrival, check them in, and provide necessary paperwork for completion- Schedule and manage patient appointments, ensuring optimal utilization of clinic resources- Verify insurance information and assist patients with billing inquiries- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in our electronic medical records system- Answer phone calls and respond to emails in a timely and professional manner- Coordinate with the clinical team to ensure smooth patient flow and optimal patient care- Assist with various administrative tasks, such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents- Light cleaning duties to ensure a clean and organized reception area- Assist therapists with tasks as needed, such as setting up equipment or preparing treatment rooms- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and guidelines to safeguard patient confidentiality- Collaborate with team members to continuously improve clinic operations and patient experienceRequirements:- High school diploma or equivalent- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role is preferred- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems and other office software- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification processes is a plus- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulationsImportant Note:As an equal opportunity employer, we do not inquire about criminal backgrounds during the hiring process.
