Job Description:
A School Psychologist opportunity is available for both full-time and part-time positions for the 2025-2026 school year in Bowie, MD. This contract role involves supporting students through comprehensive psychological services and collaborating with educational teams to enhance student outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Deliver in-person counseling services aligned with students' IEP goals and related service hours. Provide transportation between assigned schools as required. Document counseling sessions bi-weekly, including time, date, and session content using MOIEP and Google tracking systems. Prepare tri-annual IEP Progress Reports reflecting students' growth on counseling goals. Consult regularly with teachers, related service providers, and parents/guardians to monitor student development. Attend child-find, IEP, and 504 Plan meetings to assist with eligibility evaluations, program planning, and documentation. Conduct psychological assessments using various tools to evaluate cognitive and behavioral needs. Interpret assessment results and present findings at relevant meetings. Draft PLAAFP statements and identify IEP goals, objectives, and necessary supports. Maintain detailed documentation of communications with parents/guardians. Desired Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year conducting formal psychological evaluations and preparing comprehensive reports. At least 1 year of experience counseling students within a school setting. Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on IEP development and implementation. Licensure Requirements: Must hold a Maryland State Psychologist license at time of permanent appointment. Applicants may apply before obtaining licensure but must submit proof upon receipt. Valid Maryland motor vehicle operator's license required to fulfill transportation duties.
