Position Type Full TimeDescriptionJOB SUMMARYThe Human Resource Manager (HRM) is responsible for directing, coordinating, and managing all HR activities and related tasks for Mountain View Co-op (MVC). The HRM must maintain a positive and cooperative attitude that promotes teamwork, integrity, honesty, and helpfulness. The HRM must embrace and exhibit MVC’s philosophy and culture of customer service.REPORTING RELATIONSHIPReports to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborate with leadership to develop and maintain a human resources strategy in line with the MVC mission, vision, and values. Establish and maintain a positive experience for MVC employees through professional interpersonal interactions. Develop, administer, and update on an ongoing basis all human resources policies and procedures. Maintain accurate, up-to-date records using the HRIS. Represent MVC in the partnership with our HRIS vendor, and communicate all updates, changes, and system maintenance as needed to MVC stakeholders and employees. Manage benefit administration utilizing the HRIS. Represent MVC in the partnership with brokers, and manage all benefit changes, updates, and annual open enrollment procedures for MVC employees. Lead the talent acquisition strategy. Manage the full cycle of recruiting from sourcing to onboarding and retention. Responsible for guiding new hires through onboarding and coordinating new hire training with leadership. Employee relations, including but not limited to; interviewing candidates for hire, employee coaching, conflict resolution, incident investigations, trainings, corrective action, exit interviews, consulting on legal/regulatory issues, etc. Collaborate with senior leadership to support all employee relations questions and situations. Consult and partner with legal counsel as appropriate and offer guidance to senior leadership. Maintain a current understanding of legal and regulatory requirements related to employment and disseminate information as needed to MVC stakeholders and employees. Administer and monitor the clothing allowance benefit program for all MVC employees. Responsible for completing wage surveys, benefit surveys, compliance audits, financial census, etc. Administer, monitor, and manage the drug and alcohol testing program for CDL drivers. Participate in the development and maintenance of safety programs, policies, and procedures, along with related compliance documentation. Maintain accurate, complete, up-to-date employee records at all times to include timely processing of all new hires, transfers, changes, and terminations. Itemize and prepare HR related invoices for AP and/or Accounting Supervisor while maintaining confidentiality. Process bi‑weekly payroll for MVC using the semi‑automated HRIS platform. Also responsible for conducting payroll related reports to Accounting Supervisor and uploading files to fund 401k and HSA benefits. Respond to all HR related requests for information via mail, phone, email, etc. in a timely fashion. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity while working with confidential, protected company and employee information. Create and maintain a high-performance environment characterized by positive leadership and strong team orientation. Handle any customer complaints in a prompt and professional manner. Establish and maintain a positive customer service experience. Practice and encourage workplace safety. Report for duty in a fit condition, complying with the location dress code and acceptable personal hygiene. Other duties as assigned. Perform a wide variety of HR tasks with accuracy and speed under the pressure of time-sensitive deadlines. Quickly learn and put to use new skills and knowledge brought about by rapidly changing information and technology. Drive to locations year-round within the state of Montana. Work varied hours and days required to fulfill the requirements of the role. QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation/Experience/Training: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or equivalent education and experience. Preferred Experience: Three (3) years human resources experience with increasing responsibility License/Certification: Valid Driver’s License issued by the State of Montana SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR preferred ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL ABILITIESThe physical demands described herein are representative of those that are required by the employee in order to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
