Generator Service Technician / After-Sales Specialist

A growing, globally connected organization is seeking a hands-on Generator Service Technician / After-Sales Specialist to join their team. This is a direct hire opportunity with strong compensation, excellent autonomy, and the chance to work on advanced generator systems in both shop and field environments.What You'll DoThis role owns the full lifecycle of after-sales support and generator system preparation, blending technical expertise with customer-facing problem solving.After-Sales Support & WarrantyManage and process warranty claims end-to-endTroubleshoot and resolve customer issues (remote & on-site)Provide technical support via phone/email during startup or maintenanceCoordinate with manufacturers and distributors on warranty casesMaintain detailed service records and documentationOperations & QualityPerform pre-delivery inspections (PDI) and final quality controlModify generator systems based on sales order requirements(fuel tanks, chargers, NFPA110 adders, etc.)Unload, prepare, test, and finalize gensets for shipmentDocument inspections with photos and reportsFinal AssemblyComplete final assembly of generator systems, includingPSI gas engines and Perkins USA enginesContinuous ImprovementReport product quality issues and coordinate corrective actionsPartner with internal and global teams on design improvementsWhat We're Looking For3+ years of experience with generator systems, diesel/gas engines, or industrial equipmentStrong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skillsExperience with genset servicing, modification, and inspection (PDI)Background in after-sales service and warranty processesAbility to read and interpret technical documentationSelf-starter with strong documentation and organizational skillsWillingness to travel locally for on-site support as neededNice to HaveTechnical degree (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related)Field service and workshop experienceExposure to quality control and reporting processes
