Job Description:
Essential Responsibilities: Assist the Manufacturing Engineering Department team in various development and production support efforts throughout tenure. Assist the team in various development efforts and provide feedback related to design, quality, and assembly. Develop and maintain an open, professional working relationship with all internal Liberty Pumps departments and individuals, as well as external vendors and partners as required. Assists the Maintenance Department with troubleshooting and repair of assembly equipment. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition. Assist with building, fabricating, and rebuilding of tooling, production lines, production equipment, and any electrical and mechanical devices used for production in the plant. Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments. Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines. Read and interpret equipment manuals, work orders, computer generated drawings, and sketches to build, maintain, and service equipment and systems. Operates fork truck, powered vehicles, lifts and hand pallet jack as necessary, in a safe manner. Works effectively in a team environment and participates in team meetings and projects. Submit requisitions for needed materials and tools through the Manufacturing Manager. You will be expected to perform in compliance with ISO 9001 requirements. You will be responsible for following safety guidelines, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and using good safety judgment. You will be expected to report all unsafe activities and conditions to the Supervisor and/or Safety Representative. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice. Minimum Qualifications: Machining, welding, pneumatic circuits, and fabrication skills required. Experience using measuring tools and have basic knowledge of electrical circuits and experience wiring low voltage up to 3 phase circuits. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Skilled at multitasking and moving projects through various development phases. Education/Training: Four-year minimum experience performing equipment repair/maintenance/fabrication or two years vocational/trade/technical training. Licensure/Certification: Fork Truck License Experience/Skills/Abilities: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups or employees of the organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Skilled at multitasking and willing to work in a fast-paced team environment. Capable of taking direction as well as working with minimal supervision. Work Schedule/Hours: Monday - Friday with typical business hours. Additional hours may be necessary for working on special projects or as dictated by business demands.
